Padel Rules
  • Players: Typically use a 10 by 20 meter court (32' 10" by 65' 7") for doubles play. A 6 by 20 meter (19' 8" by 65' 7") court is used for singles instead.
  • Serves: All of our serves are underhanded and land below the waist. Balls that bounce on the ground and then strike any of the surrounding walls are still in play.
  • Padel balls:which resemble tennis balls but are somewhat smaller, are necessary for official matches. Typically, padel is played informally with standard tennis balls.
  • Rackets: Padel rackets are constructed without strings from a composite material. There are holes in the hitting surface. Although it has different characteristics, the racket is identical to the one used in platform tennis.
  • Court: Artificial grass, plastic, or concrete make up the court's flooring. It is smaller than a tennis court, measuring 10 by 20 meters, with a 0.88-meter (34.6-inch) high net in the center. The court is enclosed by four-meter-tall masonry or glass walls, or when it's outside, by a fence.
